Biography of Barry N. Mercer

Thank you for showing interest in our dental practice.

I was raised in Loomis, California, the son of the local, well-respected dentist. I literally grew up with a background in dentistry. After receiving my dental degree from Creighton University and serving as a decorated officer in the United States Army, I returned to beautiful Loomis where I have been practicing aesthetic and comprehensive dentistry since 1991. I have had the opportunity to see dentistry blossom into a health care field that changes people’s lives daily. Many of these changes are the basis of our practice which offers our patients a unique blend of friendliness, gentleness, technology, artistry and education.

To provide you with the best possible treatment, my wonderful staff and I constantly receive continuing education and technical training from today’s leaders in dentistry, as well as organizations whose primary concern is patient health and safety. This includes using biocompatible dental materials (composites and porcelains), eliminating exposure to mercury vapors when removing old amalgam fillings and using digital x-rays to decrease radiation exposure by ninety percent.

Our experienced general dentistry practice is family-oriented with an accent on aesthetics; whether it’s a single tooth, or complete smile makeover.
